The Calgary Flames have locked down one of their restricted free agents. They’ve signed defenseman Colton Poolman to a one year, two-way deal worth $750,000 at the NHL level.

Poolman, 25, was signed out of college last spring after four seasons at the University of North Dakota. In his first pro season with the Stockton Heat, he had six points in 21 games.
