Flames re-sign Artyom Zagidulin to one year deal

The Calgary Flames have conducted a bit of business. The club announced on Monday that they’ve re-signed minor league goaltender Artyom Zagidulin to a one year, two way deal.

The 24-year-old Russian netminder came over to North America last season and served as the 1B to Jon Gillies’ 1A in Stockton. While Zagidulin’s box-car stats weren’t overly amazing – he went 16-7-1 with a 3.07 goals against average and .898 save percentage – he won a lot of games and had a knack for making the big saves at key times.
