Flames put forward Mason Raymond on waivers

Micheal Ferland is, apparently, good to go.

That means someone has to go.

So, needing some flexibility on their roster — also to likely accommodate for the absence of defenceman Dennis Wideman — the Calgary Flames placed Mason Raymond on waivers. As of now, the Flames have 15 healthy forwards, seven defencemen — including Wideman — and two goaltenders.

The 30-year-old winger was not at practice on Tuesday and is exposed for other teams to claim by Wednesday’s 10 a.m. deadline.

Raymond, who signed a three-year contract in 2014 and earns US$3.15-million per season, had been put on waivers by the team on Oct.
