There are a few different ways to deal with disappointment.
You can let it beat you down, or you can use it to motivate you and rise to the occasion.
When Nick Schneider was passed over in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft, he chose the latter option.
The Medicine Hat Tigers goalie was disappointed not to hear his name called, for sure, but he got back in the gym and a couple months later Schneider was putting pen to paper and signing an entry-level contract with the Calgary Flames.
“It was a tough day, I think every kid’s dream is to get drafted to the NHL and end up playing there,” Schneider said.
