LOS ANGELES — Jordan Sigalet was sweating.
Because he was a tad nervous.
And because the Calgary Flames goaltending coach had just swapped out of his usual game-night attire and was sitting in the visitors’ quarters at Honda Center in skates, pads, chest protector and the rest of the armour.
“It’s a little bit hotter with all the gear on,” Sigalet said with a smirk.
Most nights, you’ll see Sigalet in a suit and tie.
The 36-year-old tracks the action from the press-box, marking scoring chances, saves, goals against and other possible teaching moments on a laptop as the play unfolds on the ice below.
