Flames goaltender Chad Johnson peppered with 43 shots in loss to Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA — If you figured you’d watch the Grey Cup instead, rest assured, you made the right call.

And you didn’t miss much.

The Calgary Flames were mostly rotten in Sunday’s 5-3 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers at Wells Fargo Center.

In their fifth stop on a six-game roadie, Flames starting netminder Chad Johnson was peppered with 43 shots, including a couple of breakaways and plenty of second-chance opportunities.

TJ Brodie, Matthew Tkachuk and Alex Chiasson each scored for the travellers in a losing cause. Johnson, who had only allowed one goal on 70 shots in his past two starts, finished with 38 saves.
