Flames Best #40 Of All Time: Alex Tanguay

The #40 only came down to two players and even though my heart said Fred Brathwaite, my brain knows Alex Tanguay is the best player in Flames history to wear the #40. Not that there were a lot of players who did, but either way Tanguay had an outstanding career with the Calgary Flames.

Alex Tanguay arrived in Calgary prior to the 2006-07 season with a list of NHL credentials. He’d already played in 440 games with the Colorado Avalanche and won a Stanley Cup with them in 2001.
