The Calgary Flames have traded forward Matthew Tkachuk to the Florida Panthers in exchange for Jonathan Huberdeau, MacKenzie Weegar, Cole Schwindt, and a first-round pick, according to a report by Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman.
The Athletic‘s Jeremy Rutherford reported that Tkachuk signed an eight-year extension with the Panthers carrying an average annual value of $9.5 million.
