Flames acquire package including Jonathan Huberdeau, MacKenzie Weegar from Panthers for Matthew Tkachuk

The Calgary Flames have traded forward Matthew Tkachuk to the Florida Panthers in exchange for Jonathan Huberdeau, MacKenzie Weegar, Cole Schwindt, and a first-round pick, according to a report by Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman.

The Athletic‘s Jeremy Rutherford reported that Tkachuk signed an eight-year extension with the Panthers carrying an average annual value of $9.5 million.
