If there’s one player the Calgary Flames know well of the potential first round picks, it’s Edmonton Oil Kings defenseman Matthew Robertson. The Flames own a Western Hockey League team and Robertson played on their top rival. Might he be their 26th overall selection?
I’ve seen Robertson in-arena roughly five teams this season and he’s one of my favourite players to watch in the entire WHL. He’s got size, listed as 6’4″ and 200 pounds. He’s a left shot defender, something the Flames have but always need more of. More impressively, Robertson is just an amazingly poised hockey player – never rattled and rarely caught out of position.
