Kasperi Kapanen gave us a celebration to remember on Tuesday.
When the Toronto Maple Leafs prospect scored the game-winning goal versus Russia in overtime of the 2016 world junior final, he discarded a handful of equipment items before hot-dogging down the ice as a fresh Finnish hero.
Having just clinched an under-20 championship before a raucous home crowd, Kapanen was doing what anybody would have done.
He went nuts.
Thanks to the powers of social media, we soon found out other Finns — hockey players and fans — also went nuts. The country had no trouble letting loose in jubilation, apparently.
