The Flames just finished a fairly tough trek East with a record of 4-2-0. Normally on a long trip against playoff contending teams, you’ll settle for .500 hockey. The Flames exceeded that and capped it off with a 4-3 win over one of the top teams in the Western Conference in Nashville.
BUT they were also completely dominated by the Boston Bruins in a 5-2 loss Tuesday night. The Bruins are clearly the cream of the crop in the East and a legit Stanley Cup contender. The Flames looked like a team that was still a few years away in that game.
