CHICAGO — Maybe Evander Kane is planning to let his play do most of the talking.
Maybe the former Winnipeg Jets left-winger was just waiting for a larger audience to share his more intimate or headline-grabbing thoughts.
Or perhaps it was a sign of maturity that the man who often relished the opportunity to be the centre of attention chose his words wisely on Friday morning, preferring to focus on the task at hand rather than potentially stir the pot.
Whatever the case may be, Kane was mostly subdued as he spoke to the Winnipeg Sun for the first time since the blockbuster trade that sent him to the Buffalo Sabres along with Zach Bogosian and the rights to goalie Jason Kasdorf.
