TORONTO - Roman Cervenka has had three years to digest where things went wrong during his NHL stint in Calgary.
And while the 30-year-old forward from the Czech Republic cites a language barrier contributing to his demise, he knows there’s more to it than that.
“For sure (not speaking English) was a problem, but if you score every game, it’s not too big a problem,” he chuckled.
“But I didn’t. So it was a problem. I understood some things, especially about hockey. But if it was really important things, we spoke with (fellow Czech compatriot) Jiri (Hudler) and coach together.
