PENTICTON, B.C. — Rasmus Andersson did more than just impress the Calgary Flames organization with his performance at the Young Stars Classic.
He earned a three-year entry-level contract with the club which chose the defenceman from Sweden 53rd overall in the 2015 NHL Draft.
“Amazing feeling,” Andersson said. “When I first heard they want to sign me, I got thrilled. I’m really excited to be here and more excited to be part of this organization.”
The Flames flew home to Calgary after their clash with the Vancouver Canucks to conclude the prospects tournament in Penticton, B.
