Edmonton Oilers sign Mark Letestu, Andrej Sekera

It’s not often that a 28th place team that spent the better part of a decade with a tin cup in its hand waiting for draft lottery handouts is considered the place to be in the NHL, but Edmonton is heading in that direction.

And fast.

Once considered the worst spot in the entire league (in a survey that included Winnipeg, for heaven sakes!), Edmonton is now being noticed as an organization on the move.

There is an entirely new management team in place, a well respected coach with his own assistants at the helm, a franchise player at centre and a brilliant new arena coming on line next season.
