Dustin Wolf posts first pro shutout in Game 1 of Pacific Final against Colorado

Calgary Flames prospect Dustin Wolf put on a show for the Stockton Heat in their 5–0 victory over the Colorado Eagles on Monday evening.

Wolf, 21, turned aside all 23 shots he faced in Game 1 as Stockton took a 1–0 series lead in the best-of-five AHL Pacific Division Final.

Despite being crowned the American Hockey League’s top goaltender after his stellar performance in the 2021–22 regular season, Wolf entered the 2022 Calder Cup Playoffs still in search of his first shutout as a professional.

Not anymore. Wolf completely shut down one of the AHL’s highest-powered offences on Monday, with reigning AHL top defenceman Jordan Gross being denied five times in the 5–0 Heat win.
