Ducks' Stoner guilty in connection to grizzly hunt

VANCOUVER - National Hockey League defenceman Clayton Stoner is guilty of one charge in relation to illegally hunting a grizzly bear on British Columbia’s central coast.

Thirty-year-old Stoner who’s with the Anaheim Ducks admitted in an Abbotsford, B.C., courtroom to hunting without a licence in connection to a grizzly bear hunt in May 2013.

Stoner’s lawyer entered a plea on his behalf, while the Crown dropped four other charges including hunting out of season and unlawfully possessing dead wildlife related to the hunt near the coastal Village of Bella Bella.
