Dallas Stars forward Tyler Seguin, the team’s second-leading scorer, will miss a month of action because of a small cut of his left Achilles tendon.
Seguin had surgery Friday, a day after getting hurt late in the Stars’ 4-3 victory over Tampa Bay.
General manager Jim Nill described the injury as a 15% cut on Seguin’s left Achilles that was stitched up during the surgery.
Seguin, who has 33 goals and 40 assists in 72 games, appeared to get tangled up with Lightning defenceman Anton Stralman in the final 30 seconds of the game. Seguin limped to the locker room afterward.
