PITTSBURGH — Sidney Crosby held court with the media for eight minutes Thursday, answering every question as he always does, not really letting on until the very end that he was tired of talking about the subject that was on everyone’s mind.
This is what happens when you are a superstar — the face of the NHL, even — and you are on the cusp of recording your 1,000th career point.
“I don’t love talking about it but hopefully I’ll just get it and keep going,” Crosby said, his final words of the media session.
“You play to try to win,” he was saying earlier.
