Craig Anderson delivered some good news before heading home for the summer.
Only hours before the Ottawa Senators saw their season come to an end Thursday night against the Pittsburgh Penguins with a 3-2 double-overtime loss at the PPG Paints Arena, the club’s top goalie received word from his wife Nicholle her cancer is in remission after extensive testing near the couple’s home in Coral Springs, Fla.
Nicholle found out in October she had a rare form of throat cancer and has been under going treatment since.
“I found out the morning of the game,” Anderson said Saturday as the players cleaned out their lockers at Canadian Tire Centre.
