It was a trade that likely saved the Calgary Hitmen’s season.
But, for one night anyways, it was the Vancouver Giants who got the better end of the deal.
Chase Lang haunted his former team, scoring a shorthanded goal and adding an assist on the powerplay as the G-Men dumped the Hitmen 5-2 at the Dome on Friday.
Lang was all smiles after the tilt — the first between the clubs since swinging a blockbuster five-player deal.
“It felt good coming back into the old team’s rink,” Lang said. “I played here for over three years.
