We’re into the guts of the CBA, folks. But the next few sections are a bit lean on controversial information, so let’s double up.
The first double-header is Article 19: Per Diem Allowance, Expense Reimbursement and Article 20: Game Tickets.
Per diem allowance
The per diem allowance for days on the road was defined in Section 19(a). In 2012-13, it was set at $100 and indexed to inflation. By 2019-20, it would be around $111.
Now, players don’t get the full per diem necessarily. If they’re on a trip where game meals are provided by the club – which is most of the trips – their per diem allowance is cut in half.
