Vince Dunn’s participation in Canada’s selection camp for the 2016 world junior is over.
Hockey Canada announced on Friday that Dunn, a St. Louis Blues prospect who plays for the Niagara IceDogs of the Ontario Hockey League, has been returned to his junior club “to pursue continued treatment for a pre-existing medical condition that will keep him out of the remainder of the selection camp.”
The departure of the 19-year-old Dunn leaves 10 defencemen in camp competing for seven jobs.
Of the 10, returnee Joe Hicketts, as well as Haydn Fleury, Travis Sanheim and Travis Dermott, are thought to have four spots locked up.
