PLYMOUTH, Mich. — It starts with heart, said Team Canada head coach Laura Schuler.
This was apparently the reason why the Canadians had lost 2-0 to the U.S., at the world hockey championship on Friday. That was the explanation given for Canada’s sleepy start, its out-of-sync offence and its inability to take control of a game that it was never really in.
The U.S. had showed heart. And Canada didn’t.
“The U.S. came out hard against us, played with a lot of passion and pride and I don’t think we showed the same passion tonight,” said Schuler.
