Yesterday, we learned the Calgary Flames have invited right-handed defenceman Josh Brook to their training camp this fall.
Today, the Calgary Wranglers announced they have signed Brook to an American Hockey League contract for the 2022–23 season.
Those two things aren’t mutually exclusive: Brook will still attend Flames camp in September with the goal of trying to earn an NHL deal for the upcoming season. If he doesn’t make the team, he’ll be able to report to the Wranglers.
Welcome to Calgary, Josh!

Brook, 23, split the 2021–22 season between the AHL’s Laval Rocket and the ECHL’s Trois-Rivières Lions.
