Nick Merkley has been so busy he’s barely had time to think.
That’s probably for the best.
It has prevented the Kelowna Rockets star from agonizing over what might have been.
Merkley’s Rockets fell one goal short of capturing junior hockey’s ultimate prize, losing 2-1 in overtime to the Oshawa Generals in the Memorial Cup final.
“You take away what you can from that experience,” Merkley said of the disappointment. “It was tough to lose like that.
“But there’s always something to learn and I think we’re going to have a good team again next year.
