The Calgary Mustangs are running in rare territory these days and it’s not something to be celebrated.
The Alberta Junior Hockey League club dropped a 5-4 decision to the Calgary Canucks on Thursday night at the Max Bell Centre and have now hit double digits with a 10-game winless streak.
“I’m an optimist and I’m going to take away the positives,” Mustangs head coach Chad Allen said after the loss that pushed the club to 0-8-2 since Oct. 2. “I thought we did a lot of things well. We’re on the cusp (of a win) and that’s what keeps us showing up to the rink.
