In a repeat of last years Clarkson Cup final, the Calgary Inferno faced Les Canadienne Montreal at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa on Sunday night. The Calgary Inferno fought a tough battle till the end, but came up just short of winning the Clarkson Cup for a second year in a row.
Montreal opened the scoring 12:36 into the 1st period and went up 2-0 shortly into the 2nd period. The Inferno got on the board with Jill Saulnier scoring at 12:57 of the 3rd period, assisted by Rebecca Johnston to make it a 2-1 game.
