The Calgary franchise in the CWHL has been a staple since the league was founded in 2011 and have been one of the league’s best teams over the last 3 season. The Inferno have found themselves in the Clarkson Cup title game in the last 2 seasons, capturing the title 2 years ago, while falling last year to the Les Canadiennes 3-1 in the title game. The Inferno were tops in the CWHL last season with a record of 20-4 and a league leading 40 points. They also had 4 skaters in the Top 10 in points last season: Brianne Jenner (27), Bailey Bram (24), Rebecca Johnston (22) and Iya Gavrilova (21).
