As usual, the journey begins and ends with a familiar rival.
The Calgary Hitmen 2015-16 schedule kicks off with a home-and-home set against the Kootenay Ice, beginning with the home opener at the Saddledome on Friday, Sept. 23.
The return trip the following night will take care of the second of seven meeting against the Ice, which includes another home-and-home on the final weekend of the season.
The Hitmen will get their first of seven shots at retribution against the Red Deer Rebels on Oct. 21 at the Centrium. The Rebels eliminated the Hitmen in five games in the opening round of the playoffs in the spring.
