If it weren’t for the risk of hypothermia, Jackson Houck probably would have slept in the cold tub this week.
The Calgary Hitmen overager has, on a few shifts during the opening three games of the playoffs, blocked more pucks than goaltender Cody Porter.
The welts, Houck insisted, are just part of the price you need to pay in the post-season.
“It’s what you have to do,” said Houck, who will look to get the Hitmen back on even terms in Game 4 of the WHL Eastern Conference quarter-final on Friday night at the Corral (7 p.
