Trading a first-round draft pick doesn't come without second-guessing and hand-wringing.
But Calgary Hitmen GM Mike Moore would certainly do this deal over again.
Moore shipped his 2014 first-rounder to the Portland Winterhawks for the rights to Adam Tambellini just prior to last year's trade deadline.
"Adam Tambellini was only here a year and a half," Moore said. "But look at the year that he had and the big goals he scored and the leadership he provided."
Tambellini -- one of three Hitmen over-agers who have played their final junior hockey games -- had a magical spring that saw the New York Rangers prospect lead the playoffs with 13 goals and 26 points in 16 games.
