Calgary Hitmen drop high-scoring rematch with Medicine Hat Tigers

Sometimes you get a good, ol’ fashioned goaltending battle.

Sometimes, the masked men are a lot less ... Grinchy.

After playing 55-plus minutes of shutout hockey the previous night in Medicine Hat, both starting ’tenders got the hook before the end of the second period on Saturday as the Tigers outgunned the Hitmen 7-5 at the Dome.

Four players had a pair of goals each in what proved to be a Nightmare Before Christmas for the puckstoppers – Hitmen workhorse Cody Porter and overager Mack Shields, who spent the first three seasons of his career in Calgary.
