Some players need flashy stats to justify their worth.
Others earn their respect day after day.
Take Calgary Flames tough-guy Brandon Bollig, for example.
He scored one goal during the regular season, but if you ask teammate Joe Colborne, there isn't a stat sheet available that can measure Bollig's worth.
"If you talked to him, he wouldn't consider himself a leader," Colborne said. "But there's few guys in this league who have the respect of his teammates that he has.
"There's no denying his role. To go out there and stand up for your teammates and sacrifice your body for them, is something most of us can't imagine doing on a regular basis like he does.
