At least it was for Calgary Flames goalie Karri Ramo when it came to the separation between a few hours of discomfort to serious injury.
One day after taking a puck to the throat in practice, which caused some tense moments around the Saddledome, Ramo was between the pipes for Monday night’s clash against the San Jose Sharks.
“A couple of centimeters away from being a real problem but everything’s fine now,” said Ramo, sporting a cut just below his Adam’s apple.
“For the first few minutes, I felt like the puck was still stuck in my throat.
