NINE IN A ROW! NINE IN A ROW! The Calgary Flames have extended their win streak to nine games with a shutout over the Winnipeg Jets and I can’t stop yelling about it! They have now set a new franchise record for longest win-streak with this nine-game win streak. Before this, it was an eight-game win streak that was last achieved in 2005.
The first time the Flames had that long of a win-streak was in the 1988-1989 season. Hm, I think something else of importance happened that season…. maybe a repeat? (Crossing my fingers).
Actually, the last time the ~Flames~ had this long of a win-streak was in the 1978-1979 season when they were still the Atlanta Flames, sotechnically a different franchise, meaning they set a new record tonight with the nine-game win streak.
