The Calgary Flames will have a representative at the 2022 World Junior Championship in Edmonton and Red Deer over the holidays: precisely one. 2021 first-rounder Matthew Coronato will be part of the United States’ entry at the tournament. He’s the only Flames prospect named to any country’s national junior team.

Coronato, 19, is currently a freshman at Harvard University following a superb two season stint with the USHL’s Chicago Steel.
