Sean Monahan has been re-signed by the Flames. He signed a 7 year deal worth over $44 million, which breaks down to over $6 million annually. Monahan had 63 points in 82 games last season, which made him a priority to the club. Monahan is the future face of the Calgary Flames and the signing was a good move by Brad Treliving and the Calgary organization.
Tyler Wotherspoon has also been re-signed. The amount of his one year, two-way contract is undisclosed. The Flames are no stranger to impactful two-way defensemen and Wotherspoon perfectly fits that bill.
