PENTICTON, B.C. — Morgan Klimchuk was been roommates with hockey’s newest saviour on a couple of occasions.
First, the Calgary Flames prospect shared a spot with Connor McDavid when they were at the 2013 under-18 world championship tournament, in which Flames phenom Sam Bennett was also a teammate.
Then, Klimchuk shared the TV remote with McDavid last December during the world junior team’s training camp.
On the off-chance both suit up Saturday night when the Flames hopefuls meet McDavid’s Edmonton Oilers at the Young Stars Classic prospects tournament in Penticton, B.C., and Klimchuk has McDavid in his sights … well … you bet he’ll try to get a piece of his friend.
