Joe Colborne can’t help but feel like he let the team down Saturday night.
It’s an odd notion given that he wasn’t even in the lineup.
For the second game in a row the 25-year-old Calgarian was a healthy scratch, watching helplessly from the Rexall Place press box as his team lost to the Edmonton Oilers 2-1 in a shootout.
What made the painful evening even tougher for the former Edge School star was seeing Sam Bennett stopped on the game-deciding shootout attempt.
That spot, quite regularly, belongs to Colborne.
“Yes,” said the nifty-mitted forward, who has been one of the most prolific Flames in shootouts the last three years.
