Glen Gulutzan wasn't sure who clipped his star centre in the nose.
All that was important to the Calgary Flames head coach was that the injury to Sean Monahan wasn't serious.
"He's fine," Gulutzan said after the Flames walked back to their Saddledome dressing room following a spirited practice at the Stampede Corral. "He's going to get four or five stitches to the bridge of his nose. That's why he left early."
Another notable absence from Wednesday's ice session was forward Joseph Cramarossa, who didn't register any points in three pre-season games during his tryout with Calgary.
