John Ramage was among the hat-trick of restricted free-agents who didn’t receive a qualifying offer from the Flames prior to Monday’s deadline.
The 24-year-old defenceman now becomes an unrestricted free agent.
“That was a tough one for me, quite frankly, because John is an excellent person,” said Flames GM Brad Treliving. “He’s a tremendous human being. He’s what we want in the organization, in terms of the personality.
