The little team that could still can. The Calgary Flames advanced past the Vancouver Canucks on their way to the Conference Semi-Finals. It marks the first time that the Flames have advanced past the first round of the playoffs since their run to the Stanley Cup Finals. Matt Stajan scored the game winning goal while Jiri Hudler and Michael Ferland adding empty netters to ice the game.
This day was never supposed to come for this year's Flames. With an average height less than 185 CM they were supposed to be too small.
