CLEVELAND - Johnny Manziel might have been in Las Vegas. Or small-town Ohio. He was nowhere near the Cleveland Browns' facility in Berea, Ohio, owner Jimmy Haslam said Sunday night.
Several outlets reported Manziel being spotted in Sin City on Saturday. However, he posted pictures to social media and tagged his location as Ohio, a possible misdirection considering he was benched in November for lying to the Browns about his whereabouts at the start of their bye week.
Manziel has backed himself into scrutiny with social-media sellouts in the past, dating to his days at Texas A&M, and the latest flap -- coupled with the overhaul of the front office and coaching staff Sunday -- is likely the end of the line in Cleveland for the former Heisman Trophy winner.
