Bounces go Blues' way in win over Blackhawks

St. Louis — On a day when Blues coach Ken Hitchcock laughingly said, “We looked like the Washington Generals a few times against Patrick Kane and Artemi Panarin. Man, they were dancing,” St. Louis’ substance overcame the Chicago Blackhawks’ flash Sunday in this beauty of a series.

The Blues hung in through 40 minutes behind their goalie Brian Elliott, who faced 24 in the middle frame, and then they got two manna-from-heaven breaks in the third after the Blackhawks had received some on their two third-period coach’s challenge wins in Game 2.

“We had two go the wrong way…so now I guess we’re owed two the other way,” said had Hitchcock.
