NEW YORK - The NHL has suspended Columbus Blue Jackets forward Jared Boll four games without pay for interference against Philadelphia Flyers forward Pierre-Edouard Bellemare.
The incident occurred at 3:26 of the second period of Columbus’s 3-2 shootout win over the Flyers on Tuesday when Boll delivered a blind-side to Bellemare as the Flyers turned up ice with possession. A scrum ensued, but Boll was the lone player ejected.
Boll was assessed a major penalty for interference and game misconduct.
Boll is considered a repeat offender and will forfeit US$82,926.84 in salary. He is eligible to return April 2 when the Blue Jackets host Carolina.
