TORONTO — Connor McDavid would embrace the opportunity to serve as captain of the Edmonton Oilers.
"Obviously. If I was ever the captain at any point I think it would be one of the greatest honours and one of the accomplishments that I would definitely take the most seriously," the 19-year-old former first-overall draft pick told the Toronto Sun.
"I don't want to comment on it too much, but obviously it would be an unbelievable feeling."
McDavid, whose team is without a captain at the moment, was one of numerous NHL players invited to take part in a ball hockey challenge at the Rogers Cup tennis tournament in Toronto on Sunday.
