Mike Babcock hit the proverbial Twitter mute button.
The Maple Leafs head coach was the subject of an apparent Twitter rant for the ages on Friday night. The childish, profanity-laced tweets were unleashed by a former player of his during Friday night's 4-0 Leafs loss against Babcock's former Red Wings in Detroit.
"Babs you posing arrogant piece of (bleep). Welcome back to the rink where everyone that met you hates you" was tweeted from ex-NHLer Mike Commodore's official Twitter account as the Leafs went down 3-0.
But if Babcock were to use a hashtag to express his interest in publicly talking about Commodore's wild rant, it probably would be #LeaveItAlone
Asked if he would respond to his former player's tirade, Babcock offered precisely four words: "I wouldn't.
