It’s a good time to be a top Flames prospect.
While Mark Jankowski appears to have made the NHL full time, his former winger, Andrew Mangiapane, remains with the Stockton Heat. Not that he isn’t making the best of it, though, as the AHL has named him the league’s Player of the Month for October.
Mangiapane is a second year professional. As an AHL rookie, he scored 20 goals and 21 assists for 41 points in 66 games with the Heat, then good for fourth in team scoring. (Jankowski, the team’s leader, was ahead of him by 15 points.
