Welp, that’s it. To the surprise of nobody really, the Calgary Flames have been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention in the North Division. The Montreal Canadiens picked up a single point in their overtime loss to the Edmonton Oilers which was all they needed to clinch their spot.
The Flames head into their final four games of the season with nothing really to play for outside of draft lottery positioning. The Flames currently sit 22nd in the NHL by points percentage which would give them the 11th best odds with the inclusion of Seattle.
